Head Coach Thad Mott begins his fourth year as varsity coach for the Omaha Roadrunners. His passion for helping young men grow and his love for the game of basketball are enhanced by the key tenants of hard work, team effort, and service to others that are employed on his teams.
Mott has coached the game of basketball at the college and high school level for over 22 years. His team’s championship mentality and discipline have earned him high school state qualifying teams, as well as multiple awards at the college level including Conference Champions five years in a row, six All-American players, National Coach of the Year, and an NCCAA National Championship. Mott came to Omaha on a full-ride scholarship to play for the University of Nebraska Omaha Mavericks, where he was a four-year starting point guard.
Above all, Mott is devoted to his family and serving the Lord with all of his heart, mind, and strength. His family homeschools their three children, who enjoy spending time together outdoors.
